The Stalking Course is a two-day, largely boots on the ground condensed course for hunters who wish to transition their stand skill set to take advantage of spontaneous stalking or ambush opportunities, or improve your existing stalking abilities.
The course takes place in majestic northern hardwood forests known for unforgiving close-quarter stalking conditions that will ensure the elevation of the craft and develop a proven edge for having successful encounters.
Hunters will learn the finer points of using camouflage essential to reducing detection by the most wary of mature whitetail bucks and other intelligent big game. They will be assisted in both camouflaging and silencing their gear. Practical instruction will be given on how to walk quietly and with stealth fitting into the lay of the land and natural cover while disguising their movements as other big game. Unique visual search techniques for stalkers will be taught, giving them the advantage of seeing game first. Tactical shooting methods will be taught that include: taking advantage of common natural field rests to quickly support shooting positions; undetected slow-motion shot positioning; and executing accurate shots with elements of surprise and speed.
The course will include participation in live fire drills, practice stalking, scouting deer sign and tracking.
With a maximum of 4 students per course, every student is guaranteed great interaction and one-on-one teaching with the instructor.
